I love that Melbourne has so many parks. It really is special to be able to be surrounded by trees yet so close to the city.
This is the view I see every morning when I'm heading to work. I kind of like the grey days as they make great reflections on the water.
I took this photo a few months ago when I stayed down the beach with a couple of friends and thier dog. This is my good friend with her dog Hank.
This is the Arts Centre in Melbourne. Melbourne doesn't really have a "landmark" as such - not the way Sydney has the bridge and the opera house and New York has the Empire State Building but I guess one significant thing on our skyline is the spire of the Arts Centre. I love the reflections in this shot.
Another burst of spring this week. Beautiful.
I feel quite relaxed after the weekend away, ready to start another week.
Crowded cafe anyone? I think this is a pretty good option.
I've been away a lot recently but you still can't beat a weekend in the country.
Happy Friday!
I love music.
I love this building - it's the old post office which has now been renovated into fancy shops. It's still got a magnificent feel to it.
I've been a bit up and down lately and finding it hard to be motivated. I think I need some me time to re-centre myself.
This time last year I took a trip down the west coast of Canada/USA to Bellingham. This was taken just outside of Bellingham.
A weekend with friends at a winery was just what I needed this weekend.
I always feel like rainbows are a sign of hope - rain and sun together, like good and bad working together.
Crazy Kangaroo Paw flowers in the Perth Botanical Gardens.
The Melbourne Theatre Company.
More New Norcia - the monastery entrance.
New Norcia was settled by Benedictine monks and is an amazing example of Spanish architecture in the middle of Western Australia.
Next stop South Africa!
A Friday pint of Pipsqueak cider in the sun in Fremantle at the Little Creatures Brewery.
My brother recently got engaged and I finally got to see them this week. They are lovely together.
Another photo from the weekend's picnic. The Yarra River is often very brown - it's known as the river that runs upside down. But somedays it reflects the sky and actually looks quite lovely.
I took an early morning walk down by the creek and with all the rain lately it's quite full. It was so beautiful and peaceful at that time of day.
Rowing teams out training on the river in the early evening.
This weekend I went on a picnic by the river. I feel so lucky to live in the inner city yet have such a lovely environment just a short bike ride away.
A perfect Saturday afternoon watching the world go by.
Happy Friday everyone.
These John Fluevog shoes are my favourite - I love them. On the bottom it reads "To Love or To Hate the Choice is Yours"
